A Message From Our Pastor
Thank you for taking the time to visit our church's website!
I am so grateful you have an interest in our church. Whether a member or someone simply "checking us out," I am glad
you stopped by. It has been a very long time since I have updated my portion of the website. One of my goals for
2009 is to a much better job communicating with our church family and guests through this website.
It is no secret that 2008 has been a difficult year for our church family.
We have had a lot of death and illness which has impacted nearly everyone on our rolls. We have also faced several families
moving away from our area-which, unfortunately, is not all that uncommon in this region. These are things which can
cause some very heavy hearts to say the least. I know many have voiced their concerns and hurts over what has happened.
At times like these, we have been instructed to trust God with not only our own lives, but with the lives of others.
Our prayer is for His will to be done in all things.
As 2009 approaches, I am praying for God to heal our church family. I pray He will help us deal with the loss
of loved ones and friends that have moved away. One thing is absolutely certain: God is always working!
Bro. Henry Blackaby's "Experiencing God" has been a powerful reminder of this great Biblical truth. As believers, then
we, too, must keep working! Our God remains firmly seated on His throne. He loves His church and has promised
to be with His people no matter what they are facing.
I am also praying for God to revive our hearts in our love and devotion to Him, for one another, and for the lost
and unchurched in our area. The days of simply opening the church doors and expecting people to come have
come and gone. Today, we are faced with real work that must be done by real Spirit-filled people. I
pray you will join me this coming year in renewing ourselves to the Great Commission our Lord has given us.
Please help make 2009 a year where God is exalted in our lives, homes, and church like never before. I
would like to personally invite you come visit with us if you are seeking a place to worship. We would
love to have you.
May God bless you and your family. Merry Christmas everyone!
Bro. Mark
